January summary [Feb. 1st, 2007|12:59 pm]

Finished up 15090$.Was up about as much on 18th already, but didn't really play a whole lot after that, plus went on a little negative streak which i managed to finally seal yesterday.
I looked in my pt and turns out that i actually won 12100$ from the games themselves (well, maybe a little bit more, it didn't include a small amount of HU games on DOyle and my PLO/8 + 5CD amusement). So, 3k came from RB+bonuses.Yep, 900$ Doyle RB + 250$ Doyle reload bonus + 450$ from exchangin their action points for cash, ~550$ on FTP bonus (started it last month) + 700$ from FTP RB in the last 2 months (i can cash out FTP rb anytime from RBstore) and my referral's 2% from Doyle and FTP. All in all, this is a pretty damn sweet vig to consider.

February: Well, This is a shorter month, so i'll be very happy to reach 16k, make it 60 online and move to Nl600.

I hope this is all some temporary setback.
Are they gonna forbid people to play poker forever?
This is ridiculous...Land of the free my ass...

I think that it's not going to be an issue of forbid. I think the government here in the USA is being really shrewd about this — they are seeking to break down the confidence in the online gambling system. This is what the whole Neteller thing is really about: make people afraid to trust payment processors and online gambling sites with your money. It seems to be working, unfortunately.

Be careful with always trying to increase the stakes. I made about $10k last month playing full time, but simply by picking extremely soft 1/2 tables and multi-tabling. Granted, moving up in stakes can get you more money in less time, but the variance can increase substantially.

This is true and i am not in a rush to move, but i can't really play Nl400 with 60k active bankroll, the money would mean much less to me.
I am still a bankroll nit and won't move up till i have 100 BI roll for the level i am moving to, but staying with over 200BI and not even trying to clime up is too conservative,IMO.
Of course, if i won't make it initally at Nl600, i have no problem to move down - more than 10k$ a month is a good money at any stakes, no matter, how you spin it...

Yeah, I've been amazed at how low variance you can get multi-tabling 1/2 against horrible players. I've never had a session loss more than $100, and during a session the most I've been down is $1,000. This is the magic of online poker, which is going away. Even though you are not in the USA, I bet you're going to see the impact as the USA players leave the market. This whole cashout problem is becoming huge here and I think even if the legal situation is clarified, USA players won't be coming back soon.
